Meet the Team: Andrew Strombeck

If you enjoy exploring the great outdoors, you just might cross paths with Cimatron’s own Andrew Strombeck — an avid outdoorsman with a passion for cold-water conservation.

Andrew has been a technical support specialist at Cimatron for 11 years, during which time he has helped customers solve a wide range of technical challenges.

“Every single day brings something different, which means there’s never a dull moment,” Andrew says. “Technical support is about helping customers understand both the software and the tools they need to navigate issues as they arise.”

Andrew transitioned into his support role after working in the manufacturing industry, and his experience as a former Cimatron user gives him valuable perspective. That hands-on background helps him understand just how important a reliable support team can be.

“My role is as much about connecting with people as it is about communicating the technical side of things,” he explains. “New customers, for instance, are often challenged with staying productive while learning new software. That requires a great deal of trust in Cimatron’s support team, and we’re dedicated to helping them succeed.”

Outside of work, Andrew spends as much time as possible with his family, including Sarah — his wife of nearly 20 years, who “tolerates all of the crazy that I bring into our lives” — and their two children.

Their eldest daughter, Olivia, 15, is a member of her school’s wrestling team, and the family frequently travels to attend her matches. Their younger daughter, Claire, 13, is passionate about fingernail art and is locally renowned for landing a giant brown trout.

Andrew and Sarah also volunteer extensively with Trout Unlimited, supporting cold-water conservation efforts and traveling to help protect trout and salmon habitats.
